Barreiros Beach

At 2.5 km from the Vilapier, the beach of 462-meters-long and 40-meters-wide is little visited. Its calm waters, next to a stream, are favorable for the practice of water sports such as sailing, stand up paddle, kitesurfing and windsurfing. At low tide, they recede many meters and form a beautiful spectacle during sunset. The vegetation concentrates more than 100 coconut trees among large lawns along its cost that is the home to many birds and crabs.

To the south is the Mirante de Barreiros, which allows a beautiful view of São Sebastião. Right in front of you, the mansion of the old Barreiro Farm with more than 100 years old, displays its graceful colonial features. The name of the this beach must originate from the muddy bottom of the sea. There is not kiosk, restaurant and parking in this area.
